Sakai Kikumori (Kawamura Hamono) is a Sakai-based knifemaker producing diverse kitchen knives in various styles and steels. Founded in 1926, they serve both traditional and modern markets by partnering with skilled local craftsmen. Their master blacksmith Yoshikazu Tanaka has crafted White and Blue Steel knives for over fifty years using traditional methods.
In recognition of its excellence, Sakai Kikumori has earned the Sakai Wazashu Certification from the city's Chamber of Commerce, cementing its reputation and reinforcing Sakai's standing as a blacksmithing powerhouse.
