Learn the basics of knife engraving, and craft your own keepsake.
In this hands-on workshop, Master Engraver Michiko Kubota will introduce you to the traditional art of Japanese knife engraving. Starting with fundamental techniques and proper tool handling, you'll learn how to create patterns and designs on metal surfaces. Under her expert guidance, you'll practice these techniques before applying your new skills to create your own unique engraved keepsake to take home. This intimate class setting ensures personalized attention and a truly immersive experience in this centuries-old craft.
Date & Time
This special one-off class will take place on Sunday, January 26th. We are offering 3 time slots, with each session being limited to 4 participants. Each class will last 1 hour.

Location
This class will take place at our store, located at 1532 NE Alberta Street, Portland OR, 97211.
Materials
We will supply everything you need for the class, including engraving chisels, hammers, and steel blanks to practice on, as well materials to create your keepsake.
Afterwards
You'll go home with your very own custom engraved keepsake. Also, be sure to hang out and enjoy grilled bites by @bachchoyboy.
