Hado is a prestigious Japanese knife brand established in 2019 by Fukui Co & Ltd in Sakai, Osaka - a region renowned for its 500-year legacy of blade crafting. The name "Hado" combines "ha" (blade) and "do" (way/road), symbolizing the company's dedication to the "way of the blade" and their commitment to continuing Sakai's rich knife-making tradition. Founded when employee Tadataka Maruyama pursued his dream of becoming a knife sharpener, Hado represents Fukui Co & Ltd's first in-house knife production in their 109-year history, marking a significant milestone in their journey of craftsmanship.
