The Nata is a Japanese hatchet that combines a machete's versatility with an axe's precision. Built with carbon steel, it maintains a sharp edge for demanding forestry work. The blade measures about 6 inches long with a 9 inch natural wood handle. The Nata delivers power without bulk making it ideal for outdoor work like:

Hashi-Nashi
The Nata comes in two traditional styles - with and without a blade guard (hashi-tsuki). The standard version without the guard (hashi-nashi) offers a cleaner cutting profile and is preferred for tasks requiring swift, unobstructed chopping motions. Both styles maintain the same exceptional cutting ability and durability that make the Nata an indispensable forestry tool.
US Domestic Shipping
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout. All orders over $200 ship for free. Please note, all shipping delivery times listed are in addition to our standard order processing time of 1-2 business day.
USPS Ground Advantage (2-5 business days)
Ground Advantage packages are delivered in 2-5 business days and include USPS Tracking. Orders over $300 will be given Signature Confirmation and will require a signature upon delivery. Signature Confirmation can be waved if requested.

USPS Priority Mail (2-3 business days)

The cut-off time for USPS Priority Express is 10am PST. Express orders placed after 10am or on the weekend will be shipped out the following business day.
