We are happy to offer hand engraving to personalize your knife! We can engrave in English or Japanese, and are happy to translate a name into Japanese. If you have a design you'd like engraved let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Please write what you would like engraved in the 'notes' section at checkout. If you are concerned about the layout of your engraving, please contact us via email to confirm. 

Unless otherwise specified, Japanese and Chinese characters will be engraved vertically. 

Most knives in the shop can be engraved, but as this service is done by hand, there are a few exceptions. Zenko or mono-steel knives cannot be engraved directly on the blade. These knives include the Sakai Takayuki TUS series as well as Misono knives and most serrated knives. If the mono-steel knife has a steel bolster on the handle, the bolster can have a small engraving (initials etc.). 

Please note we only have one staff member who can complete your engraving, so there may be additional time needed to fulfill your order. If you are on a deadline, please contact us prior to placing your order so we can ensure will be able to accommodate.
