Learn how to sharpen & maintain your kitchen knives on a sharpening stone.

Our knife sharpening classes are taught by professional knife sharpeners with years of experience. In this class, you will learn the basic concepts of sharpening and knife maintenance. Our instructors will then guide you through the process of sharpening a knife by yourself, providing tips and feedback on your technique. Finally, we will answer any lingering questions you have about sharpening, and help you pick the gear you need to start sharpening at home.

Date & Time

Each class will be about 2 hours and will be held about three times each month. Weekend classes typically begin at 11AM, and weekday classes at 1PM.

Due to the space, class sizes are limited to 5 people. 

*If you want to cancel let us know at least 3 business days before, or you will not be refunded. 

Location

Our sharpening classes are held in our store outside of shopping hours. You can find it at 1532 NE Alberta Street, Portland OR, 97211.

Materials

We will supply everything you need for the class, including a loaner knife and sharpening stones for you to practice on. If you would like to bring your own stones and knife, please feel free to do so.

Afterwards

You'll go home with a simple sharpening guide printout. Plus, hang out after the class to receive 10% off everything in the store.
